UBS investor sentiment in Switzerland rises to +12.1 in August
The UBS Investor Sentiment Index climbed to +12.1 from +10.0 in July, but analysts say the data is unlikely to affect SNB policy.
Forexlive reports that UBS and CFA Society Switzerland data showed Swiss investor confidence strengthening in August, with the UBS Investor Sentiment Index rising to +12.1 from +10.0 in July.
The index has been positive for a second straight month, after a sharp recovery from a negative reading in June, signaling growing optimism about Switzerland's economic and financial market outlook.
The report links the improved tone to investors turning more positive on Switzerland's economic prospects despite the US-Iran war and elevated oil prices.
However, Forexlive says the sentiment update is not expected to change anything for the Swiss National Bank, which is expected to keep monetary policy unchanged at least until the second half of 2027.
