Bill Gates is advocating for a new tax approach aimed at discouraging companies from replacing workers with AI and robots, according to Decrypt.

In Gates view, AI tokens and robots should face taxation so firms face additional costs when they try to automate roles and reduce headcount.

He also called for a framework that keeps certain “human reserved” jobs off-limits to automation, creating roles that would not be replaced even if firms adopt AI systems.
