Parts Town leases 538,400 SF in Georgia for new fulfillment center
The new Jackson 85 North facility is set to support more than 140 local jobs and deliver parts to over 90% of the U.S. within two days.
Parts Town Unlimited has leased 538,400 square feet at Building 1 of Jackson 85 North Business Park in Pendergrass, Georgia, about 100 miles north of downtown Atlanta, according to a Bisnow report. The company, which focuses on food service and appliance and HVAC OEM parts, will use the site as its largest global fulfillment center behind its operations in Chicago, Phoenix, and Munich. The lease covers the entire building owned and developed by Trammell Crow Co. and CBRE Investment Management, with delivery expected to reach more than 90% of the U.S. within two days. Parts Town said relocating more mission-critical OEM parts closer to customers across the Southeast is intended to cut transit times and costs. The company expects the project to support more than 140 local jobs, and the landlords and tenant were represented in the deal by Wilson Hull Neal’s team, while SK Commercial Realty brokered for the tenant. Jackson 85 North, still in development, also has a second 1 million square foot speculative Class-A warehouse on its 215 acres as part of the first phase, Bisnow added.
