BitGo buys NYDIG’s institutional trading arm to expand derivatives
The all-cash-and-stock deal is valued at about $42.5 million and is designed to add derivatives, structured products, and capital markets capabilities.
BitGo is acquiring NYDIG’s institutional trading arm in a cash-and-stock transaction aimed at expanding its derivatives and broader capital markets capabilities, according to Decrypt.
The deal, valued at roughly $42.5 million, is expected to add services including derivatives and structured products, as well as other capital-markets functions.
The agreement also leaves NYDIG positioned to focus on its power and data-center business, while BitGo strengthens its financing and institutional trading offering, Decrypt said.
The transaction is part of a broader push to deepen institutional market activity around digital asset products, with derivatives and related structured offerings at the center of the expansion.
