SBI Holdings buys a 20% stake in Indonesian platform Ajaib for $270M
The Block says the deal takes Ajaib’s total funding since 2019 to more than $500 million, and positions it as a minority affiliate of SBI.
SBI Holdings has made a $270 million strategic investment in Indonesian multi-asset investment platform Ajaib, acquiring an approximate 20% minority stake, according to The Block.
Ajaib said the round is Indonesia’s largest tech funding deal since 2022 and brings its total funding raised since 2019 to more than $500 million, The Block reported.
Ajaib offers a mix of traditional investing and digital assets, including access to crypto assets and stablecoins, along with OTC stablecoin settlement services and liquidity for companies and institutional clients in Indonesia.
The Block also noted that SBI did not disclose further investment details in its announcement, and that it plans to use the partnership to support digital asset adoption in Asia as it expands its presence across the region.
