Together AI to use Humain compute in Saudi Arabia for data center

The company says the setup is designed to avoid U.S. backlash tied to data centers while operating from Saudi Arabia.

Together AI, a U.S. start-up that serves open-source artificial intelligence models, announced a partnership with Saudi Arabia-based Humain to use Humain’s compute for its data center operations, according to a New York Times Business report.

The report says the deal is structured to help Together AI bypass U.S. backlash over data centers by shifting the compute environment to Saudi Arabia.

Together AI’s announcement centers on deploying access to Humain’s compute resources rather than adding compute infrastructure in the United States, the outlet said.
