Trump says Iran strikes will be limited around Strait of Hormuz

He also said the Strait of Hormuz is in “extremely good shape,” with “a lot of oil” still flowing.

US President Donald Trump said strikes on Iran will be limited, adding that the goal is to keep the Strait of Hormuz functioning while limiting potential threats to ships.

FXStreet reported Trump commented that ships were coming through the strait, with oil flow described as strong, and said his position reflects both operational considerations and that interest rates are too high.

The report also discussed how markets can react to perceived risk, describing “risk-on” and “risk-off” dynamics and noting that safe-haven currencies such as the Japanese yen, Swiss franc, and US dollar tend to benefit in risk-off periods.
