Ethereum Layer 2 chain activity surges to $1.6 billion in DEX volume

DeFi activity on Ethereum’s Layer 2 network accelerated sharply, with DEX volume rising to $1.6 billion, according to Decrypt.

The outlet reports that trading on the Ethereum Layer 2 climbed 61% over a short period, driven by growth in DeFi deposits and stablecoin holdings.

Decrypt also said stablecoin holdings and DeFi deposits approached $800 million, signaling increased liquidity on Layer 2 platforms.
