Atelier New York lands inaugural retail lease at 181 MacDougal Street

The multi-brand luxury boutique will take a 2,130-square-foot corner space with asking rent of $250 per square foot, and expects to open in four to six months.

Atelier New York, a multi-brand luxury fashion boutique, has signed to be the inaugural tenant in the commercial component of the Straus Group’s newly constructed 181 MacDougal Street luxury condominium building in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, according to Commercial Observer.

Commercial Observer reports the retailer will occupy a 2,130-square-foot retail space at the corner of MacDougal and Eighth Street, one block north of Washington Square Park, with asking rent set at $250 per square foot.

Newmark’s Ariel Schuster, Jackie Totolo, and Jordyn Comras negotiated the lease for the landlord, and Atelier did not work with a tenant broker.

Atelier is currently operating two locations near the new site, a women’s store at 29 West Eighth Street and a men’s store at 20 West Eighth Street, and estimates the new 181 MacDougal Street storefront will open in four to six months.
