Hong Kong to launch inaugural Festival of Connoisseurs in November
The event, backed by budget funding of about HK$100 million, will run Nov. 4 to 6 at AsiaWorld-Expo and uses a citywide venue approach.
Hong Kong will hold its inaugural Festival of Connoisseurs in November, a cross-industry exhibition designed to showcase high-end products including haute jewellery, supercars, yachts and private jets, as the city seeks to draw major spenders and bolster its role as a global events hub, according to the South China Morning Post.
The event is expected to receive some of the HK$100 million (US$12.8 million) set aside in Hong Kong’s 2026-27 budget to attract large-scale international exhibitions. Informa Markets will use AsiaWorld-Expo near Hong Kong International Airport as its primary venue, with the main dates running from November 4 to 6.
Beyond the main site, parts of the exhibition will be staged across Hong Kong using an expanded “city-as-your-showroom” format, aiming to make the MICE sector a key driver of the initiative.
An insider cited by SCMP said the festival is intended to be the first of multiple projects involving the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions industry, with the government discussing additional undertakings to strengthen Hong Kong’s MICE offerings and boost high-end tourism.
