Israel says it has plans to remove Palestinians from Gaza pending U.S.
Defence Minister Israel Katz said Israel is organized to move Palestinians out by sea, air, or other routes once the United States approves where they would go.
Israel says it has plans ready to remove Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, but it is waiting for the United States to determine where they would be relocated, Defence Minister Israel Katz said, according to reporting by SCMP Economy. Katz made the comments at a conference hosted by Israeli outlet Ynet and newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth on Wednesday.
Katz said there is no long term solution for Gaza without what he described as migration, and he framed the move as part of a broader effort to resolve the situation in the enclave.
He added that the Israeli government is organized and prepared to carry out the relocation by sea, by air, or other methods, SCMP Economy reported, while the U.S. is still figuring out the destination.
