Uniswap tops 7 million swaps in a day as fee rollout expands

Uniswap Labs said protocol fees have funded about 7.5 million UNI in burns since December, while public data cannot confirm how many of the record swaps used fee-enabled pools.

Uniswap hit a new swap milestone, with reporting that it recorded more than 7 million swaps in a single day. Uniswap founder Hayden Adams said the decentralized exchange was processing roughly 82 swaps per second across chains, aligning with the daily swap total.

The activity comes as Uniswap expands its fee footprint. Governance discussions and updates placed fees live across all v2 and v3 pools on 11 chains on July 7, added Robinhood Chain on July 27, and activated v4 fee controllers on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, Optimism, and Robinhood Chain that day, with five additional chains deferred.

CryptoSlate also cautioned that higher swap counts do not automatically translate into higher protocol revenue. Public data does not directly connect the record-day swap count with which swaps occurred in fee-enabled pools or how much protocol fees were generated in the same window.

Separate figures cited in the coverage show the distinction between swap metrics and fees. Blockworks data previously estimated about $44 million earned by liquidity providers over 30 days, with roughly $4 million accruing to the protocol, and Uniswap Labs said protocol fees had funded about 7.5 million UNI in burns since December, valued at about $25.6 million under the valuation it used.
