US missile strike hits wedding in southern Iran, rights group says
Iranian state media said at least 4 people were killed, including two women and two children, and more than 60 were wounded.
A US missile reportedly hit a home in southern Iran where dozens were gathered to celebrate a wedding for the daughter of a fisherman, according to a rights group and Iranian media.
Iranian state media said four people, two women and two children, were killed, and more than 60 were wounded. The rights group said one teenager was killed by a second strike on a nearby communications tower.
US Central Command spokesman Captain Tim Hawkins said the military was looking into reports of the strike on the wedding, and he did not say whether a formal investigation had been launched.
