Pons’ token-launch app drives nearly $6M in 24-hour fees on Robinhood Chain

DefiLlama data shows about 25,000 tokens were launched on Sept. 2 and 24-hour trading volume hit $544 million as the PONS token rose 300% in a week.

CoinDesk reports Pons, an app that lets users create and trade tokens on Robinhood Chain, generated about $5.95 million in fees over the past 24 hours, putting it in crypto’s top fee-generating protocols and ranking it ahead of Robinhood Chain itself.

According to DefiLlama, the Sept. 2 surge included nearly 25,000 token launches and $544 million in 24-hour trading volume, with Pons’ fee haul ranking fourth among the protocols it tracks, behind only Tether, Uniswap and Circle.

CoinDesk also notes that the memecoin boom boosted Robinhood Chain’s own fee generation to about $4 million in a single day, roughly one-fifth of the network’s fees earned since its July launch, while Hyperliquid collected about $2 million over the same period.

Pons is described as a near-immediate token factory, where users pay a launch fee of about $1 to create a token and a market opens on Robinhood Chain, and the app collects a cut of subsequent trades that depends on both token creation and later trading activity.
