Jio Platforms eyes November IPO after SEBI approval

The offering would issue up to 270 million new shares and could raise as much as $4 billion, depending on deal terms.

Jio Platforms, the digital and telecommunications unit of Reliance Industries Ltd., is planning to formally begin investor outreach for an initial public offering as early as next week, according to people familiar with the matter cited by LiveMint Markets.

The company is targeting a November IPO and is expected to hold meetings across the US, Singapore, Hong Kong, London, and the Middle East, with banks to discuss key details. Those discussions are still ongoing, so the IPO size, valuation, and timing could change.

Jio Platforms filed draft IPO documents on 19 June 2026 and received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India on 28 August. The IPO would involve issuance of as many as 270 million new shares, equivalent to about 2.9% dilution of the company’s equity, based on Bloomberg data.

LiveMint Markets also notes that a listing of this scale could add momentum to India’s equity capital market, which is preparing for several large offerings, including an IPO at the National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. expected to launch in September to raise about $3 billion.
