Landmark Properties has opened a 1,261-bed student housing complex called The Standard at 3900 S. Figueroa St., located less than half a mile from the University of Southern California, according to Bisnow.

The property includes 429 units, ranging from studios to five-bedroom layouts, and each unit features in-unit laundry, private bathrooms for each bedroom, and kitchens.

Bisnow also noted that The Standard is Landmark’s second ground-up student housing project in Los Angeles, following a first delivery last year near the University of California, Los Angeles.

The broader Los Angeles and Inland Empire activity covered in the same roundup included Capstone Advisors hiring Jamas Gwilliam as executive vice president and Tishman Speyer acquiring the Rise apartment complex in Anaheim, as well as CBRE’s sale of a roughly 24,000-square-foot office property in Glendora and a $7.2 million industrial lease renewal in Carson.
