Robinhood Chain batches delayed on Ethereum for about 14 minutes
Arbitrum said the delay was tied to Ethereum blob market behavior, with one longer gap occurring while Ethereum had 263 unused blob slots.
Robinhood Chain continued producing blocks during the incident reported on Friday, but its transaction data stopped reaching Ethereum for about 14 minutes across two gaps, according to The Defiant. The outlet said the stoppage was specifically in Robinhood Chain's batch posting, which is the mechanism that lets transaction data be reconstructed on Ethereum and enables funds to move. Arbitrum attributed the delay to Ethereum's blob market, which matched the second gap, while the longer first gap did not appear to align with that same explanation. Arbitrum also said Robinhood Chain saw no downtime, with direct user transactions experiencing no delays, and only brief performance impacts for some infrastructure providers that depend on the network's data stream due to high feed subscribers. The Defiant added that Robinhood has not published a technical account, and its chain documentation lists no status page. The Defiant reported Robinhood Chain produced 106,756 blocks between 12:00 and 15:00 UTC, averaging one block every 101 milliseconds, including blocks showing normal activity during the flagged window. It further said the batch poster address 0xDaa5…87F4 went 8 minutes and 36 seconds without posting blob batches, from 12:29:47 to 12:38:23 UTC, while Ethereum blocks during that stretch carried 263 unused blob slots priced at 0.0086 gwei versus the poster's standing bid of 0.0616.
