Crypto platforms have lost more than $3.63 billion to cyberattacks, according to figures cited by CNBC.
CNBC reports that CoinGecko data show over 60% of cryptocurrency platforms that experienced losses from cyberattacks had undergone independent security audits.
The findings highlight that security reviews did not prevent at least some later breaches and thefts across the crypto platform ecosystem.
