Mt. Logan Capital expands Everest’s third-party capital platform

Mt. Logan Capital Management said total third-party capital it manages has reached $3.4 billion, with $2.8 billion focused on catastrophe risks and $600 million on casualty lines.

Mt. Logan Capital Management, the Everest Group owned and operated third-party capital management platform, said it has been expanding and diversifying its offering while keeping alignment and capital efficiency at the center of its approach, according to an interview with CEO John Modin.

Speaking with Artemis around the 2026 Monte Carlo Rendez-vous, Modin said Everest expanded its third-party capital platform about two years ago by launching Mt. Logan Capital Management, and the platform has since added two managed balance sheets, including the single-investor Scenery Re structure backed by pension investor PGGM.

He added that Mt. Logan later launched Annapurna Re, a multi-investor casualty sidecar structure, and that the platform now features three managed balance sheets alongside its flagship Mt. Logan Re vehicle.

Modin said total third-party capital managed by Mt. Logan Capital Management has reached $3.4 billion, with $2.8 billion focused on catastrophe risks via Mt. Logan Re and Scenery Re, and $600 million focused on casualty lines through Annapurna Re. He also said the platform offers established strategies and private mandates, with four strategies in operation that share a common structure, while Everest retains a substantial portion of underlying risk and contract selection rules are used to maintain alignment.
