Strategy’s $250 Bitcoin-themed Air Jordans sold out within days
The shoes went on sale Sept. 4 and sold out by Sept. 8, while Strategy says it holds 845,050 BTC, about 4.0% of Bitcoin’s fixed supply.
Strategy’s $250 Bitcoin-themed Air Jordans sold out shortly after launch, extending Michael Saylor’s Bitcoin identity from treasury strategy into consumer merchandise. The shoes were launched Sept. 4 through Strategy’s online store and were marked sold out by Sept. 8, with all nine advertised sizes listed as unavailable.
CryptoSlate reports that Strategy did not disclose how many pairs it offered or when inventory ran out. The company says the mid-top sneakers are inspired by the original Air Jordan 1, featuring custom company branding and leather overlays, along with Nike Air cushioning and an Air Jordan Wings logo.
Strategy listed shoe sizes from 6.5 to 14 at $250 per pair, and the release adds to a broader merchandise catalog built around the company and Saylor’s Bitcoin persona. The same store also offers items including a $50 Bitcoin Strategy Game, a $125 Strategy hoodie, and a $35 organic cotton Saylor shirt.
The article notes that Strategy holds 845,050 BTC, equivalent to about 4.02% of Bitcoin’s fixed 21 million supply, keeping the asset central to its corporate identity. It also says the storefront displays payment methods such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, without listing Bitcoin as a displayed checkout option, and Strategy has not posted a restock date.
