Tether and Fasanara launch $400 million stablecoin private credit fund
The StableFund partnership plans to raise up to $3 billion more from third-party institutional investors, with Fasanara managing short-duration, asset-backed credit strategies.
Tether and Fasanara Capital have launched a $400 million private credit fund, called StableFund, focused on stablecoin-enabled lending, The Block reported. The firms said StableFund will deploy capital through Fasanara's global fintech lending network.
Fasanara will act as investment manager and pursue short-duration, asset-backed credit strategies, while Tether will work as originator and advisor. Tether will source USDT-linked financing opportunities and provide stablecoin settlement infrastructure, including on- and off-ramp connections and treasury rails.
The fund is designed to embed USDT into SME and consumer lending flows across fintech platforms operating in more than 60 countries. Tether described the approach as turning its origination network into a direct channel for capital to real-economy borrowers, with Fasanara adding that it aims to improve cross-border credit flows.
Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino and Fasanara Capital CEO Francesco Filia were quoted by The Block in connection with the launch. According to the outlet, London-based Fasanara has more than $6 billion in assets under management and invests across areas including SME loans, consumer credit, trade receivables, and supply chain finance.
