Tokenized equities traded $1.01 billion on Labor Day weekend
Robinhood Chain handled $572.8 million, about 57% of the weekend total across 42 tokenized stock tokens, while Labor Day itself added $398.3 million.
Tokenized stocks traded nearly as much on Labor Day weekend as they did on Friday, with U.S. exchange closures creating a 89 and a half hour gap that still left onchain equities exposed to continuous trading, according to CoinGecko volume data covering 42 of the largest tokens across the main platforms in the sector.
The weekend total reached $1.01 billion, built from $490.3 million on Saturday and $516.9 million on Sunday, compared with $1.02 billion on Friday when traditional U.S. exchanges were open. Labor Day added another $398.3 million, bringing the shutdown period across Friday to Monday to $1.41 billion.
Robinhood’s tokenized equities led activity with $572.8 million over the weekend, split between $288.2 million Saturday and $284.6 million Sunday, or about 57% of the measured total. Binance’s bStocks contributed $303.5 million, Backed Finance’s xStocks $87.1 million, and Ondo Global Markets $43.8 million.
Within specific instruments, the most traded weekend token was QQQB, a bStocks version of the Invesco QQQ Trust, with $180.5 million in turnover across Saturday and Sunday. The outlet also notes pricing appeared orderly, with QQQB trading around $719.36 versus QQQ’s $718.96 at Friday’s close.
