10-year Treasury yield rises as buyback plan disappoints investors

The yield near 4.85% is the highest level since 2023, after investors reacted to a smaller-than-expected Treasury buyback plan.

The WSJ Markets reports that Treasury market moves pushed the 10-year yield higher after investors reacted to the Treasury's bond buyback plan.

The plan was described as smaller than some market participants expected, contributing to the sharp jump in yields.

As a result, the 10-year yield traded near 4.85%, its highest level since 2023, according to WSJ Markets.
