Nearly 105 Indian dividend stocks set record date for Sept. 11

With India’s T+1 settlement cycle, Thursday, Sept. 10 is effectively the last day to buy and be eligible for the Sept. 11 record dates.

LiveMint Markets reports that nearly 105 companies listed in India have set Friday, Sept. 11 as the record date to determine which investors qualify for scheduled dividend payouts.

The outlet said shares are likely to attract heightened interest during Thursday’s session because it will be the final day to own the stocks before they trade ex-dividend. It noted that, under India’s T+1 settlement cycle, Sept. 11 is effectively the last trading day to buy for these corporate actions.

LiveMint Markets highlighted examples including a Sept. 11 record date for a ₹0.75 per share dividend payout for the Navratna PSU mentioned in the story, along with IREDA, which the outlet said was up 1.07% at ₹113.1 per share on BSE at 9:40 am Thursday.

The story also pointed to Venkys (India) as having the highest nominal dividend payout among the Sept. 11 ex-dividend names, and said Banco Products set Sept. 11 as its record date, with shares trading at ₹630.35 on BSE at 9:44 am Thursday.
