Solana mints record 263K tokens in a single day, led by Pump.fun
Pump.fun generated $1.8 million in revenue over the past 24 hours, and it has accounted for about one-third of Solana first-quarter 2026 revenue.
Solana hit a new all-time high for daily token issuance, minting more than 263,000 new Solana Program Library, or SPL, tokens on Wednesday, according to Cointelegraph citing Solscan.
The outlet reported that 40,000 to 50,000 daily tokens were issued on Solana at the prior peak of the memecoin cycle in December 2024, when the network saw significantly fewer launches than Wednesday’s record.
Among tokens issued through launchpads, Cointelegraph said 40,360 were launched via those platforms, and Pump.fun accounted for most of them, with 34,184 coins.
Cointelegraph added that Pump.fun generated $1.8 million in revenue in the past 24 hours, ranking as the leading Solana-native protocol by daily revenue, though its daily revenue was briefly surpassed by the trading app Fomo last Friday. It also said Pump.fun contributed $124 million out of Solana’s $342 million first-quarter 2026 revenue, roughly one-third, despite easing memecoin activity.
