VerifiedX raises $15 million to expand institutional Bitcoin distribution

The financing will fund custody via BitGo, expected tier-one exchange listings for vBTC and VFX, and Bitcoin borrow-and-lend programs tied to vBTC.

VerifiedX, a programmable financial operating system for Bitcoin and intelligent assets, said its Foundation has launched a $15 million financing round to fund an institutional Bitcoin distribution push. Bitcoin Magazine reports that the initial institutional investors have already put money into the round.

The company said Cantor Fitzgerald is serving as its investment banking partner, and that the Foundation is not disclosing the identities or terms of the initial investors. VerifiedX added that initial capital will support custody relationships, including with BitGo, which will hold vBTC and vBTC.b on Base.

VerifiedX also said it plans listings on tier-one centralized exchanges, with a first announcement expected within weeks. It said the listings would cover vBTC and VFX, alongside its native token VFX.

In addition, the round will back borrow-and-lend programs designed to let holders borrow against Bitcoin or lend it out for return without giving up ownership or locking redemption rights. VerifiedX said vBTC is intended to address the lack of yield for institutional Bitcoin by turning Bitcoin into productive financial capital through custody, exchange, and lending rails.
