Vitalik Buterin backs EIP-8288 to cut Ethereum privacy costs
The proposal would target a post-Hegota upgrade and reduce the expense of privacy features made to be quantum-safe.
Vitalik Buterin is pushing an Ethereum change aimed at lowering the cost of privacy features designed to be quantum-safe, according to Decrypt.
In the proposal, Buterin supports EIP-8288 as part of I-star, an upgrade that would come after Hegota, the outlet said.
Decrypt reports that adopting EIP-8288 would also make RISC-V Ethereum's canonical instruction set.
The plan centers on privacy costs and where the upgrade fits in Ethereum's roadmap, Decrypt said.
