Allied strains complicate U.S. efforts to pressure China before Trump-Xi talks
CNBC reports that as President Donald Trump prepares to meet China’s Xi Jinping, strains with the United States’ allies are complicating Washington’s efforts to marshal coordinated pressure on China.
According to CNBC Markets and CNBC World, the challenge comes as China remains resilient, making it harder for the U.S. to build leverage through allied coordination ahead of the Trump-Xi meeting.
