Cheniere completes Corpus Christi Stage 3 LNG expansion with final train
The completed project made the Corpus Christi liquefaction site the second-largest LNG facility in the United States.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration reports that on August 28, 2026, Cheniere Energy, Inc. completed its Corpus Christi Liquefaction Stage 3 Project, also known as CCL Stage 3, in Texas.
The completion included taking custody and control of the seventh and last liquefied natural gas train in the project, finishing the expansion of the liquefaction capacity at the site.
The EIA said the completed build-out makes Corpus Christi the second-largest LNG facility in the United States.
