Raiffeisen expands bitcoin trading for 18 million customers via Bitpanda
The expanded rollout moves from separate country integrations to a single groupwide approach, after Raiffeisen first launched crypto trading in Austria in 2024.
Raiffeisen Bank International plans to roll out bitcoin trading across Europe for its 18 million customers, working with Bitpanda under an expanded deal, Bitcoin Magazine reported.
The Austrian banking group said in a Wednesday statement that growing customer demand is driving the initiative, and that it is using Bitpanda as a partner to deliver crypto services.
The new agreement builds on an arrangement that began in Austria, where Raiffeisen Landesbank Niederösterreich-Wien launched crypto trading in 2024 using Bitpanda technology within its existing banking environment.
Bitcoin Magazine added that Bitpanda Enterprise provides banks and other firms with tools for digital asset products, including investment infrastructure, liquidity, custody, payments, stablecoins, and tokenisation, with a focus on compliance and scalability.
