Visa survey shows Americans more willing to use stablecoins with bank protection
The survey found willingness for stablecoin cross border transfers increases to 56% from 36% when paired with bank-like fraud protections and deposit insurance, according to Visa.
A Visa study found that Americans say they would be more willing to use stablecoins for cross border transfers if the tokens came with bank style protections, including fraud safeguards and deposit insurance, according to Decrypt.
Decrypt reported that in the survey, willingness rose from 36% to 56% when those hypothetical banking features were added to the stablecoin option.
The results highlight how regulatory and consumer protection design could influence mainstream adoption of stablecoin payments, the outlet said.
