American Century renames Mid Cap Growth ETF and cuts its fee

The renamed fund, relisted on Cboe BZX effective October 12, will charge 39 bps after the 45 bps fee reduction.

American Century Investments announced it will rename its American Century Mid Cap Growth Impact ETF to the American Century Mid Cap Growth Insights ETF, changing the ticker from MID to ACMG, according to ETF Trends.

As part of the relaunch, the firm cut the fund’s associated fee to 39 basis points from 45. American Century also said it relisted ACMG on the Cboe BZX Exchange, with the change effective October 12.

The strategy, launched in 2020, focuses on companies around the size of those in the Russell Midcap Growth Index, though it can also invest in smaller and larger firms under its active approach. ETF Trends notes the soon-to-be renamed fund has outperformed its ETF Database Mid Cap Growth Equities category average over the past three years.

ETF Trends added that the fund returned 16.9% over the last three years and 4.3% over the last three months, both beating the category average. The article also referenced additional changes to American Century’s ETF lineup, including fee reductions on some international ETFs and renames of other funds in September.
