The exchange plans contracts in both standard and Micro sizes, with average daily crypto derivatives volume of 279,800 contracts in the first half of 2026.
CME Group plans to launch futures contracts tied to Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap on October 19, expanding its regulated crypto derivatives lineup, according to an announcement carried by Yahoo Finance.
The Bitcoin Cash futures will cover 250 BCH per contract, with Micro Bitcoin Cash futures representing 25 BCH. Uniswap futures will represent 10,000 UNI per contract, while Micro contracts will represent 1,000 UNI, CME said.
CME said the new products are designed for institutional investors seeking additional ways to hedge crypto exposure beyond Bitcoin and Ether, and that they are being introduced in response to client demand.
CME also cited its existing crypto derivatives activity, including average daily volume of 279,800 contracts and $8.3 billion in notional value during the first half of 2026, and average open interest of 264,600 contracts worth $15.4 billion in notional value. The exchange added that its expansion into other digital assets this year generated more than $1 billion in total notional value year to date.
