Commodity vessel traffic remains scarce through Strait of Hormuz

Only ten commodity vessels transited the Strait on Wednesday, with nine inbound and one outbound, leaving flows below the 10-day average amid US-Iran tensions.

OilPrice reports that the number of commodity vessels observed transiting the Strait of Hormuz stayed stubbornly low on Wednesday and ran below the 10-day moving average.

According to shipping data cited by OilPrice, ten commodity vessels moved through the Strait, including nine inbound transits and only one outbound transit.

The sole outbound vessel was a Supramax carrying fertilizer, highlighting how limited outbound commodity movement remained during the continuing US and Iran distance over how to end the war.
