Darwin Investment Group finishes $130M refinance for industrial portfolio

The refinance covers 39 industrial buildings totaling over 2 million square feet across the greater Chicago area and Southeast Wisconsin.

ConnectCRE reports that Darwin Investment Group has completed a $130 million refinancing of a 39-building industrial portfolio spanning the greater Chicago area and Southeast Wisconsin.

The portfolio totals more than 2 million square feet and is home to more than 225 tenants, with financing provided by a dedicated Middle Market Real Estate team within Wells Fargo Commercial Banking.

As part of the refinancing, Darwin Investment Group principals George Cibula and Matthew Lewandowski acquired their partners' 49% ownership stake, bringing ownership of the 39-building portfolio to 100%.

ConnectCRE also said the transaction was facilitated on behalf of Darwin Investment Group by Matthew Lewandowski, Erin Cibula, and Patricia Liston, working with Wells Fargo Commercial Banking’s Middle Market Real Estate team.
