Lennar launches first Iowa division with five Des Moines-area communities

Homes will start from the $300,000s, with model homes opening to the public in October 2026.

Lennar is launching its first Iowa homebuilding division with five new communities across the Des Moines metro, marking an entry into the state for the builder, HousingWire reports.

The communities include Cross Creek, Deer Run, Southbridge, Spring Creek Ridge North and Woodbury. Model homes are scheduled to open to the public in October 2026, and appointments are already available for prospective buyers.

Lennar said the new homes will be offered under its “Everything’s Included” model, with many commonly upgraded features built into the base price to improve cost predictability for buyers. Pricing will start in the $300,000s and extend into the low $400,000s, according to the announcement.

The builder also outlined plans for three new home designs, with open-concept main levels and flexible layouts, ranging from 1,592 to 2,262 square feet and offering three to four bedrooms and two to 2.5 bathrooms. HousingWire said the launch targets attainable price points in a market where builders have been working to close an inventory gap.
