NYC begins public review for 4,000 homes at 100 Gold St.
The revised plan increases the project count by about 300 units, adding requirements for roughly 1,000 permanently affordable, rent-stabilized homes.
ConnectCRE reports that the Mamdani administration has launched a public review for the redevelopment of 100 Gold St. in Lower Manhattan, a city owned site slated to become approximately 4,000 new homes.
The updated development plan includes around 1,000 permanently affordable, rent stabilized residences, and it adds roughly 300 more homes than earlier estimates.
Following a competitive request for proposals process, the city selected GFP Real Estate to develop the site, which will also include a replacement older adult center for the Hamilton Madison House facility.
ConnectCRE adds that an environmental review process is expected to begin next month with a scoping hearing, with the project targeting entry into the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure in 2027.
