Rare Earths Americas reports heavy rare earth hits at Homer project
The company said its early drilling, now with more than 6,500 meters completed, returned multiple intercepts above 2,000 ppm TREO over 10-meter-plus intervals.
Rare Earths Americas (NYSE American: REA) said its initial drilling results from the Homer rare earth project in Brazil’s Goiás Alkaline province show widespread, near-surface mineralization with heavy rare earth enrichment.
The company reported that more than 6,500 meters of drilling have been completed, including multiple intercepts grading above 2,000 ppm total rare earth oxides over intervals exceeding 10 meters.
Rare Earths Americas said the program is focused on heavy rare earth elements used in permanent magnets and defense applications, and that its model is supported by airborne magnetics, soil geochemistry, geological mapping, and gravity surveying.
It also said some intercepts reported heavy rare earth oxides above 30% of TREO, neodymium-praseodymium above 25%, and combined dysprosium and terbium above 2%, with niobium and tantalum zones identified in near-surface soil and saprolite profiles.
