Sephora to relocate Meatpacking District store to W 14th Street

The new 401 W. 14th St. location will open in the first quarter of 2027, with the retailer taking about 4,200 square feet of ground-floor space.

ConnectCRE reports that Taconic Partners and Nuveen Real Estate signed a long-term lease with Sephora for approximately 4,200 square feet of ground-floor retail at 401 W. 14th St. in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.

The outlet says Sephora will relocate its existing Meatpacking location from Ninth Avenue to the new store at the 14th Street and Ninth Avenue corner, which is expected to open in the first quarter of 2027.

ConnectCRE adds that Taconic is positioning the site adjacent to Apple’s Meatpacking District flagship, describing the corner as a prominent retail location.

The report also cites Cushman & Wakefield data showing retail availability in the Meatpacking District declined 6.0 percentage points year over year, while average asking rents rose 10.3% year over year.
