Trump discloses $50,001 to $100,000 Strategy share purchase
The Office of Government Ethics filing also lists separate crypto-linked transactions, including Coinbase purchases and July trades in Bitcoin miner stocks MARA Holdings and CleanSpark.
President Donald Trump disclosed a July purchase of Strategy shares worth between $50,001 and $100,000, according to a US Office of Government Ethics filing released Tuesday, with a smaller Strategy purchase also reported three days earlier for $1,001 to $15,000.
Cointelegraph reports that the filing shows Trump bought Strategy on July 27, after the earlier transaction, and that the July 27 amount was the largest crypto-linked deal identified in the disclosure. The filings report transaction values in ranges, and they do not show how many Strategy shares remain in his portfolio.
The disclosure also included transactions tied to other crypto-linked companies, including a Coinbase stock purchase, plus sales of Bitcoin miners MARA Holdings and CleanSpark in July, Cointelegraph said.
The filing comes as Trump’s administration continues pursuing crypto policy through federal regulators and Congress, and the White House told CNBC Trump’s stock and bond portfolio is independently managed by third-party financial institutions. Cointelegraph also notes Strategy shares have rallied nearly 30% over the past five trading days and about 37% over the past month, according to Yahoo Finance data.
