Xi begins first full day of US visit with White House ceremony

President Xi Jinping began the first full day of his United States trip with an arrival ceremony at the White House, according to a schedule released by the Trump administration, as carried by SCMP Economy.

As Xi and President Donald Trump hold an official dialogue, US first lady Melania Trump will accompany Xi’s wife, Peng Liyuan, to the National Museum of Asian Art.

The couples are set to reunite later for a state dinner in the evening.

SCMP Economy said the day’s program centers on the formal events around the leaders’ discussions and the accompanying first ladies’ appearances.
