Xi arrives at the White House for formal talks with Trump

SCMP reports the leaders are scheduled for formal talks, with a state dinner planned later on 24 Sep 2026.

China’s President Xi Jinping arrived at the White House to begin formal engagement with U.S. President Donald Trump, according to SCMP Economy.

SCMP said Xi’s trip includes an earlier visit connected to the National Museum of Asian Art, with first ladies Melania Trump and Peng Liyuan set to attend before the couples reunite for an evening state dinner.

SCMP added that formal talks between the two leaders are due to take place following Xi’s arrival.
