Zelenskyy says Ukraine is ready for an energy ceasefire with Russia

The comments came after separate talks in New York with US and UK leaders, and WTI was up 2.2% to $91.5.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Kyiv remains ready for a bilateral energy ceasefire with Russia after separate meetings with the leaders of the United States and the United Kingdom in New York City, according to FXStreet citing CNBC.

Zelenskyy said the discussions focus on ending the war, and he indicated Kyiv would only agree to an energy truce if Russia does not attack Ukraine’s energy, electricity and heating infrastructure, or its water supplies.

He also warned that Russia was planning a new massive attack against Ukraine earlier this week.

At the time of writing, West Texas Intermediate was up 2.2% on the day at $91.50.
