Front-end bond yields rebound after steep selloff

ActionForex.com cited a prior move that pushed the US 30-year yield to a 2004 high of 5.4%, with US and European 2-year yields easing back around 6.0%.

Markets global core bonds rebounded after what Action Forex characterized as a severe selloff, with the front end of the curve outperforming in a bull steepening move.

In the prior session, several tenors across multiple curves reached multi-year highs, including a US 30-year yield at 5.44%, its highest level since 2004, Action Forex said.

The outlet added that US and European 2-year yields moved back to around 6.0% after the earlier spike.
