Gulf oil supply recovery could temper winter prices, Strait of Hormuz risk remains

The article says disruptions tied to the Strait of Hormuz or delayed restoration of normal flows could quickly lift oil prices and push up bond yields.

Action Forex says Middle East tensions remain a key focus for investors, even as it expects some easing after the latest escalation.

The outlet notes that higher Gulf shipping volumes using so-called dark transits have partly limited the impact of disruptions to established export routes, and it expects supplies to return more toward normal during winter, with oil prices declining slowly.

Still, it says the geopolitical risk premium is unlikely to disappear quickly, and markets remain sensitive to developments around the Strait of Hormuz, energy infrastructure, and U.S. talks with Iran.

Action Forex adds that if normal flows are not restored on time, oil prices could rise sharply and bond yields could be pulled higher, while it characterizes the broader outlook for major economies as mixed, citing China’s property sector weakness and the U.S. economy’s relative resilience.
