IFEEDER sets five-year plan for animal feed and pet food resilience
The institute said its supply chain work helped generate more than 534 media citations and informed engagement with Congress and federal agencies.
IFEEDER, the Institute for Feed Education and Research, outlined achievements and a new direction for the animal feed and pet food supply chain in its 2026 annual update, including assessment work on the vitamin and amino acids supply chain.
World Grain said the institute’s plan also targets sustainability and resilience over the next five years, building on research it described as turning credible findings into practical information for the animal food industry and partners.
In the update, IFEEDER pointed to what it called the first evidence based evaluation of US dependence on vitamin and amino acid imports across the broader food supply chain, along with six supporting species reports.
