Needham seniors housing project to be redeveloped with state funding

The Linden Street Community will undergo a two-phase renovation, replacing 76 studio apartments with a redeveloped community called Linden Terrace.

ConnectCRE reports that Affordable Housing and Services Collaborative, Inc. (AHSC) and The Peabody Companies have been awarded state funding to redevelop the Linden Street Community in Needham.

The existing community was built in the 1960s and 1970s and includes 76 studio apartments for lower-income seniors.

The planned project, developed by a partnership including the Needham Housing Authority, AHSC, and Peabody Properties, will be renovated in two phases to create larger living spaces, add complete accessibility, and update amenities.

ConnectCRE also notes that the redeveloped community is proposed to be known as Linden Terrace.
