Binance deal could expand USDC reach in emerging markets, analysts say
The five-year arrangement is expected to bolster USDC distribution in emerging markets, even as Tether’s liquidity advantage remains difficult to overcome.
Circle’s USDC stablecoin could gain traction in emerging markets after a new five-year deal tied to Binance, analysts told CoinDesk.
They said the agreement may strengthen USDC’s reach in those markets, supporting the stablecoin’s broader distribution.
At the same time, the analysts noted that Tether’s liquidity advantage is still seen as a hard edge for competitors to dislodge.
