Riot Platforms repays $200 million Coinbase Credit facility

The repayment completed Monday, after Riot pledged Bitcoin, USDC, and cash as collateral held by Coinbase Custody Trust Company.

Riot Platforms repaid a $200 million credit facility from Coinbase Credit and released the collateral that secured the loan, according to Cointelegraph. The Bitcoin miner had pledged Riot financial assets, including Bitcoin, USDC and cash, which were held in custody by Coinbase Custody Trust Company.

Riot completed the remaining principal and interest payments on Monday, the company said in a Friday filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, as reported by Cointelegraph. Cointelegraph added that Riot has continued expanding its data-center business.

Cointelegraph also reported that Riot did not incur any early termination fees or penalties related to the prepayment and termination of the facility.
