Oil rises after Trump rejects Iranian Hormuz reopening proposal
Oil prices rose by more than 1% on Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump rejected an Iranian peace proposal aimed at ending the conflict, CNBC Markets reported.
CNBC World reported the same driver for the move, saying the rejection helped lift oil as markets responded to renewed uncertainty around the Hormuz Strait.
